About Kids Space — a kindergarten of relationships in Tbilisi
In Vake, Tbilisi, we have gathered a team of caring teachers, tutors, psychologists and other committed specialists, for whom the individual person matters more than educational technologies and group processes.
-
Humanistic pedagogy
The needs of each child matter more to us than pedagogical technologies or group results.
-
Play practice
Preschool age is when children discover the world first of all through play. Our program is built on play formats, including role play and free play.
-
Attachment theory
We build our interactions around children's deep need for relationships with significant adults.
-
Projects and teamwork
We learn that results depend on our own actions, and train cooperation and communication skills in a team.
-
Psychological support and reflection
We learn to understand emotions and to be aware of our own actions.
Families choose us
We invite families who share our values. There are no entrance tests: instead, an informal meeting with the family and a trial week at the start, so you can see whether the PLAYschool kindergarten is the right fit.
It matters to us that the family chooses us — not the other way around.
Not just classes — a rich life
We want to create an environment where children can learn new things and try themselves out in a safe setting. We offer opportunities to experiment in many different formats — because we know that different children need different things.
In the afternoons we run electives — activities children choose themselves: drawing, dance, theatre, crafts, book discussions and much more.
We put on theatre performances, fairs, themed immersions and other events for everyone in the project. And we spend a lot of time outside the walls of our "space station": walks and excursions, nature walks nearby. We also organize extra sports: swimming, skateboarding, capoeira.
Space for parents
We truly want our space to be friendly to everyone and to be part of family life — not some separate life with different rules. That is why parents are essential members of our community.
We give every family detailed feedback and are always open to dialogue. We also hold family festivals, fairs, breakfasts with parents, family hikes and other events.
Let's get acquainted!
Our teachers are not just professionals who run classes. They develop their own methods and programs, help children get to know themselves, shape their learning interests and set goals, build teamwork — and create an environment full of inspiration and joy.
They also go hiking and to the theatre, play musical instruments and paint, make ceramics and make the world better, keep learning themselves and love sharing what they know.
The best way to meet the team is to come and visit.
